HONOLULU (KHON2) — Kona International Airport was recently the testing site for Boeing's newest airplane, the 777x model. Boeing calls it the world's largest and most fuel-efficient twin-engine jet. Designed to seat 426 passengers, the model 7779 is longer, wider, and more spacious than its predecessors.
Events. The VoltAero Cassio 330 is expected to make its first test flight in 2023. The Lockheed Martin X-59 QueSST is expected to make its first test flight in 2023 as part of NASA's low-boom supersonic flight demonstrator project.
On January 31, 2022, Boeing officially launched the 777-8 Freighter, with an order from Qatar Airways for 34 aircraft and 16 options, with deliveries expected to begin in 2027.
The SR-72 follows the US Air Force's hypersonic road map for developing a hypersonic strike weapon by 2020, and a penetrating ISR aircraft by 2030.

The F-15EX, developed by Boeing, is the latest variant of the jet. The aircraft features a new radar, new avionics and weapons systems, as well as countless other improvements. It has already gathered significant attention from customers all over the world and is likely to continue to serve for many years to come.

The 777 series is, of course, older than the 787, and it also uses heavier construction materials. Meanwhile, the Dreamliner is famous for being the first airliner with an airframe primarily made up of composite materials, cutting down on weight.
Three years later and the 777X program, which was initially intended for a 2020 entry-to-service date, has been repeatedly beset by delays exacerbated by the COVID pandemic - Boeing's latest estimate has deliveries set back by half a decade to 2025 and the program could still face more issues.
Is Boeing 787 bigger than 777?
Generally speaking, the Boeing 777 offers a more comfortable passenger experience. This is because it is somewhat larger than the 787 and has higher capacity, leading to more room in terms of seating comfort.
The B-21 is slated by 2040 to replace the U.S. Air Force's 63 B-1 strategic bombers, which date from the 1980s, and 20 B-2 strategic bombers, which date from the 1990s. The B-21 may also eventually replace the B-52, which is slated to remain in service for many decades.

While the 707 is no longer used for commercial flights, many 707s and their variants remain operational in specific applications. Several national Air Force branches continue to fly 707s for transportation, refueling, and reconnaissance.
The fastest jet aircraft
It's the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird - an American high-altitude reconnaissance airplane intended to outrun surface-to-air missiles and interceptors. The aircraft descended from the Lockheed A-12 "Oxcart" initially developed for the CIA.
However, at least theoretically, the MiG-25 remains the fastest operational fighter jet. It broke numerous records and reached the speed surpassed by no other airbreathing jet except for the SR-71 and its derivatives. The MiG-25 was designed first and foremost as a high-altitude interceptor.
The fastest plane in the world is the North American X-15. It holds the record for speed, at 4,520 mph and Mach 5.93, with Mach 6.7 being measured at a flying altitude of 102,100 feet. It's a hypersonic rocket powered aircraft used by NASA and the USAF as an experimental aircraft.
When Boeing confirmed in July 2020 that it would end 747 production, it was already only producing at a rate of half an aircraft a month. Boeing delivered five 747s in 2022, while in 1990, the peak delivery year of the bestselling 747-400 version, Boeing delivered 70 747s.
The last jumbo jet was delivered in January, but it has been obsolete for decades. The 1,574th and final 747, which rolled off Boeing's production line in Everett, Washington, on January 31, is destined for a life shipping goods around the world on behalf of the New York–based cargo company Atlas Air.
According to Boeing's data, the 777-9 has a total length of 251 feet 9 inches (76.72 meters). The 747-8 is just a bit smaller at 250 feet 2 inches (76.3 meters). The 777-9 is the longest commercial aircraft ever built.

The U.S. Navy is asking for nearly $1.53 billion to develop its secretive next-generation fighter aircraft, known as F/A-XX. The Department of the Navy wants the funding as part of its Fiscal Year 2024 budget proposal. The new aircraft is expected to replace the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet.
Aircraft age is not a safety factor. However, if the aircraft is older and hasn't been refurbished properly, it may cause flyers some inconvenience such as overheating, faulty air conditioning, or faulty plumbing in the lavatory.

Boeing 777-9
Boeing's 777-9 is the world's largest and longest twin-engine commercial aircraft. Once it goes into service, the 251-foot-long aircraft will ferry up to 425 passengers on long-haul flights—spanning up to 7,285 nautical miles—around the world.
The Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird is the current record-holder for a manned airbreathing jet engine aircraft.

Therefore, the ERJ135/140/145 members of the family are among the safest airliners in history. The Airbus A340 is also one of the safest, with no fatal accidents involving any of the 380 units since its introduction in March 1993.
Because that flight only lasted a few seconds, the record for the longest sustained flight above Mach 5 belongs to the Boeing X-51, another unmanned experimental aircraft, which in 2013 flew for over three minutes at Mach 5.1 (about 3,400 mph).
As of December 2020, the only combat-ready stealth aircraft in service are the Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit (1997), the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor (2005); the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II (2015); the Chengdu J-20 (2017), and the Sukhoi Su-57 (2020), with a number of other countries developing their own designs.
While passengers can always choose not to get on a plane if they feel unsafe, the two major US airlines that have 737 MAX 8 planes are not grounding those aircraft or changing their standard flight cancellation, change or refund policies.

Stratolaunch Roc, the world's biggest airplane, completed its ninth test flight over Mojave Desert. Made to carry rockets and smaller vehicles, the Roc is also called a mothership aircraft. The recent test flight across southeastern California lasted six hours, its longest to date.
Aviation. Since it first flew in the mid-1950s, the Cessna 172 Skyhawk has become the world's most-produced aircraft with at least 44,000 rolling off the production line.
Excluding General Electric's testbed jet, 24 747-400 passenger jets remain active, though only ten are in regular passenger service. The largest operator is Lufthansa, which deploys the giant jet on Asia and American bound-services out of its hub at Frankfurt (FRA).
'Of the 1,574 747s built up to December of 2022 (when the final 747 left Boeing's Everett Factory), somewhere between 22 and 28, depending on what you want to count, were destroyed in accidents. 1 has been destroyed by another 747 (one of the 22 noted above) crashing into it.
